I have been a musician and a singer since I was four years old! I remember the feelings I had as very young child--maybe that is why children are always drawn to me, which works well in teaching. I think my professional career as a singer and a musician has enabled me to be the insightful teacher that I am.
Teaching Philosophy
So many adults regret having quit their piano lessons as a child. When I hear them reminisce, they talk about having difficulties relating to their teachers, and just not having any fun. A music teacher's number one priority should be how they relate to their students--making learning fun and enjoyable. I observe each child's creative abilities to improve progress. I challenge each student in a way that is unique for them; therefore every student is inspired to make music part of their life forever.
