Jennifer Wood has been giving my daughter Amanda piano and singing lessons for approximately six months. She had taken piano lessons before from another teacher but lost interest because the teacher was strict and boring. Jennifer keeps things interesting and Amanda enjoys and looks forward to her lessons.
Jennifer has been very patient and flexible in the lessons she gives Amanda which is great because Amanda is not always in the mood to do what her teacher tells her. Amanda has learned to read music and sing pretty well in a very short time, Jennifer even helped Amanda to write her own song which they nowpractice together. I would definitely recommend Jennifer to any parent looking for a piano or singing teacher.

Since I began taking voice and piano lessons with Jennifer Wood, it has given me a whole new outlook on life, in that I always thought I had the ability to sing. I just never tried. Then, I saw her card and it was the best phone call I've ever made. She helps you feel comfortable and confident in what your doing, and has an unbelievable ear, and ability to hear when you are off, or in key. Learning to sing with her is very fun, and when my voice isn't feeling great, piano is a great way to switch up the lesson, and make music through the keys, in a way that's very liberating, stimulating, and relaxing at the same time. She is an awesome, unbelievable, world class talent. It's very encouraging as well to know, that she also teaches and coaches actors, especially in developing voice over work, going over lines, and rehearsing them with you. Being a beginning actor as well, it's just one more facet that Jennifer offers to her students. I love learning how to sing, and play piano through her, and I'm looking forward to future voice work with her to help develop, and improve my acting ability! Here is my statement about your lesson.
I have been taking Ms. Jennifer's private vocal/singing lesson since last summer. Needless to say, she is such a wonderful, knowledgeable teacher and I enjoy her each lesson very much. She teaches me about how to vocalize properly and sing songs with air (breath). It is also enjoyable to know a variety of music genres such as jazz, blues, bossa nova and country music through her. If there is somebody who is interested in a vocal/singing lesson, I definitely recommend Ms. Jennifer. Do not worry even if you a beginner! I was, too!
